The Concept for the Development of Physical Education and Sport of the Olomouc Region for the period 2024-2028 is based on the requirements of Section 6 of Act No. 115/2001 Coll., on the Promotion of Sport, as amended, which requires municipalities to create conditions for sport. The concept includes the definition of areas of sport support, prioritisation of individual areas of sport support and measures to ensure the availability of sport facilities for the citizens of the Olomouc Region. The Concept also deals with the conditions for ensuring the development of school, competitive and recreational sport. The material is based on legal norms and methodological guidelines for the programme support of comprehensive development of sport in the Czech Republic. Important conceptual and methodological materials of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic, the Czech Olympic Committee, the Czech Union of Sport and the European Union are also accepted.
