A guide to film and audiovisual education not only for primary schools, primarily intended as teaching and study material for teachers and students. The guide is suitable both for an independent subject dedicated to audiovisual education and for use in other subjects (Czech language and literature, history, art education, music education). It can also serve as a stand-alone book for curious readers. It includes a multimedia platform for teachers and students with film clips, images and worksheets, interactively linked to the textbook via QR codes. Although it has been possible to teach the subject of Film/Audiovisual Education in Czech schools for 10 years, it is hardly widespread at all. One of the reasons for this is precisely the lack of textbooks that could help teachers to explain issues related to film production, reception and reflection in a comprehensible way. Jaromík Švejdík (Jaromír 99), a well-known graphic designer, has contributed to the artwork of this richly illustrated publication.
